After witnessing two incidences similar in nature in Gintama (left) and Pumpkin Scissors, I remembered that this is the Year of the Dog.
What better way to celebrate this than to have pics of dogs showing their affection towards man. Dogs usually just bite my appendages; I guess they don't like me as much.

Seeing the following picture from the Jinki:Extend DVD OAV made me wonder about the connection between American baseball and young girls piloting giant robots.
Maybe the animators are simply fans of Kevin Costner, but there has to be a more subtle reason. Something deeper.

It didn't think about it until later, but it seems to me that the name of the company from Lovege Chu ~Miracle Seiyuu Hakusho~ might be a wicked pun on the well-known vegetable juice, V8®.
Of course, it could just be a coincidence, but I like to think that the animators were chugging V8® at the time when someone said, "Hey guys! What should we call the company that these girls are going to try for?"

While Paya-tan from Dai Mahou Touge was riding in a helicopter, it was cool that they parodied Apocalypse Now. I thought it would stop there, but the creators also poked fun at Full Metal Jacket, The Deer Hunter, and Platoon.
Good times...
