Always behind the curve, I finally watched Napolean Dynamite the other day. It was a bit different than I expected... Given the nature of this film, I should have realized that spatulas would show up.
Spatulas are everywhere...

Been super tired this last week for some reason, but not tired enough to forget about the Pic of the Week!

The other day I received a curious email. Here's an excerpt from that email. Hey there! I noticed your website Kitchen Discotheque after searching for spatula anime pictures on google lol The fact that someone was looking around for spatulas in anime is scary enough, but the sender created an anime club called the SPATULA Anime Club. They even came up with an acronym. I won't say what it is - look and find out for yourself. Curious... Tactical Roar may have its faults, but any shortcomings it has are made up for with the following picture.
Sango is carrying boxes that contain the well-known "Drinking Bird", which people use to demonstrate basic thermodynamic principles. Perhaps the animators want to deliver physics in a subtle manner to the masses via a widely accepted form of entertainment. Curiouser and curiouser...

As usual, Renkin 3-kyuu Magical? Pokahn, has some curious scenes like the one below.
For those of you rusty on your Japanese, it says "SA-TA-N-TA-SA-N" with the "TA" crossed out. It reminds me of one of the "Church Lady" skits from Saturday Night Live. The skit was about Santa Claus, and she was wondering why someone would go around giving people presents while the letters of his name were on a board. She rearranged them and said, "Could it be... SATAN?!"

I was visiting the world-famous Kaleido Stage today since it's close to where I live, and they had a stellar performance as I expected. What I didn't expect was when Sora gave me a cake and said, "Happy Birthday! Day! Day!" Mmm... cake...

I was watching Lovege Chu ~Miracle Seiyuu Hakusho~ the other day, and I noticed another instance of Chelsea Garden.
Earlier, I noted that the connection between Hani Hani: Operation Sanctuary and ToHeart - Remember my memories was Rondo Robe. Curiously, only Hani Hani seems to be connected to Lovege Chu by having the same animation production company, Radix.
