Party's Breaker - Character Information

Introduction | Startup | Menus | Fighting Screen | Legend | Other | Characters | Credits

Subaru  Mikage Subaru

When Comic Party was ported to the Dreamcast from the PC, Subaru was originally created for this version of the game. Apparently, she's a budding doujin artist. Also, she knows a martial art known as "Daieiryuu". Finally, she typically adds "desu no" to the end of her sentences and says "Hagyuu" and "Pagyuu" (nonsense words).

Subaru is an add-on character that comes with the subaru1206.exe update (you're gonna have to find this on your own - I'd host it here, but the file is 21.1MB).

Stage Name - Waterfall of Enlightenment

General Tips - Subaru moves very slow (perhaps the slowest character in the game) so you need to be rather patient with her.

Specials Description / Notes
Front Kick - f+C (A) An aerial front snap kick that hits twice. Not very useful but it can add the extra hits if you want them.
Hop then Kick - f,f+B A short hop followed by a kick. A useful counter to a low attack.
Palm Thrust - f,f+C Similar to a standing C, this one will knock the opponent across the screen.
Dashing Elbow - qcb+A You need to be at least one character width away for this to hit.
Arm Break - qcb+B Subaru knocks the opponent down and seemingly breaks her arm while sitting on her.
The Beatdown - qcb+C Subaru knocks the opponent down and starts pounding on her face and then rolls off the opponent. Subaru hits more if you don't hit any buttons during the beatdown. You can catch the opponent with this move again before she has the chance to recover. Unfortunately, it's possible to catch the opponent a third time, but this doesn't do much more damage - it's mostly just annoying.
Flowing Fang Whirlwind - hcf+Z Subaru will go into a ready stance waiting for an attack, and upon impact, she will toss the opponent. The A and B versions will counter high and mid attacks, while the C version is used to counter low attacks. Fun to do if your opponent is predictable.
Hissatsu waza
Pen Throw - qcf+Z The A version flies horizontally, while the B and C versions arc upwards in the same way. In the EX version, Subaru tosses four pens in the air that fly for a bit, then converge on the opponent.
Submission - d,d+C (1 bar) During The Beatdown (above), if you input this move, Subaru will seemingly "break" the opponent's arm.
Chou Hissatsu waza
Earth Dragon Ascending - hcf,d+C Subaru raises her arms up then smacks the ground causing a mist to go across the screen. It's easy enough to simply jump over this. Also, this move causes massive slowdown in the game (probably because of all of the fog effects).
